GPO or GPEdit.msc (Local policy)

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Printer Redirection > Do not allow client printer redirection

to clean out, we have to goto the registry..

 Run > Regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Devices

simply delete the Redirected printers and thats it..

Key Words...  redirected printers auto printers network printers

Here is a PDF for Terminal Server Installation on Windows 7. It pretty much covers everything. If you decide not to follow these instructions we cannot gaurantee the system is going to work properly so for all our sakes please follow them and ask if you want to make any variations

Copy the contents of the Download below into each user folder created by windows in the c:\documents and settings\username.

This download also contains a batch file called home.bat
Save it in c:\Documents and Settings\all users\start menu\programs\startup.

The batch file runs when a user logs in and creates a map "H" to that users folder. The batch file contains the following commend .....

exit

If this does not work then you can try editing it as follows......

Subst H: "c:\Documents and Settings\%Username%"
exit

To test if it is working try browsing to the H: Drive after logging in as each user.

Setting up a New Peach Software Terminal Server. (there is a PDF further down covering Windows 7)

The following is a to do list when setting up a new Peach Software Server. These instructions must only be carried out by a Qualified IT person. If a Qualified IT person is not available a Peach Software Technician can attend your site however charges will apply.

Download and install Thinstuff from Thinstuff.Com (XP/VS Terminal Server Lite) for Windows 7 & XP or (XP/VS Terminal Server Standard) for Server 2003 - 2008
  • Port forward 3389 to the server and set the server to a static internal IP
  • Set up a username and password for each user that will be logging into the server
  • Have Remote access enabled
  • Log in using each users profile and set the short date format to dd/mm/yyyy in regional settings
  • Ensure that required printers are setup and available on each profile. We cannot use Auto created printers so they need to be created in each profile manually.
  • Copy the entire PBSVB folder on the old server onto the new server and call it PBSVB-OLD
  • Ensure IIS is running on the server
  • Download but dont install the following ....you can simply make a PeachApps folder on the C drive and put them there

Once that is all done and you have the computer on the internet please call Peach Support. Our support people will need to log into the server initially by RDP, so the port 3389 needs to be open and forwarded to the server and the server must be on a static internal IP. The technician will set up our standard Logmein software so we can log in to provide ongoing support.
