Kits using Zero Tick Items

   Scenario              

A kit (Z9K) consists of 2 parts
1 x Z9 cost $5.00
1 x Labour cost $1.00

Total Kit Cost $6.00

When the kit is built your stock increases by $6.00 (even if it is built during a sale or transfer it is built first) 

So now In Stock Value of Z9K  is $6.00                    Stock Credit       $6.00
Z9 now -1 x $5.00                                                             Stock Debit                         $-5.00    
Labour  -1 x $1.00                                                             Stock Debit                         $-1.00
Balanced Transaction                                                                                     $6.00    $-6.00

If Labour did not move to negative because of the Zero Tick your stock value would have changed for no reason. E.g.

So now In Stock Value of Z9K  is $6.00                    Stock Credit       $6.00
Z9 now -1 x $5.00                                                             Stock Debit                         $-5.00    
Labour  -1 x $1.00                                                             Stock Debit                         $-0.00
Balanced Transaction                                                                                     $6.00    $-5.00                    Now stock has increase by $1.00

At the end of the month you can report negative stock figures and journal as you which using the second tab of the stocktake screen.
